The difference is what you get: true hybrid operation with seamless switching between solar, battery, EDL and generator; a proper grid-tie mode for net-metering; parallel capability up to 16 units; and a firmware ecosystem that installers know inside out. For a 3kW apartment system it is overkill. For a 10kW villa it is the safe choice.Single-phase or three-phase?If your EDL meter is three-phase (most villas, all commercial buildings) you need a three-phase inverter — the Deye 10kW, 12kW, 16kW, 20kW and 30kW units. Apartments are almost always single-phase: Deye 5kW, 6kW or 8kW.Pairing with batteriesDeye inverters talk to Deye batteries over CAN bus, but they also run Felicity, Aston and other 48V LiFePO4 units without issue.
